Government funded hours
You may be entitled to:
-
15 hours a week if your child is 9 months to 2 years old (this is 15 hours per week for 38 weeks per year)
-
15 or 30 hours a week if your child is 3 to 4 years old
Funding for 3 & 4 year olds is for 15 hours for 38 weeks per year. Some children are entitled to 30 hours (with a minimum attendance of 3 days per week). Fully funded places are available for term time (38 weeks) or can be stretched over the year. Time not covered by funding is charged using our hourly/daily rate. A supplement is charged for provision over and above the basic childcare paid for by this funding.
Please note that for funded children (3 & 4 year olds), our charges for extras are capped so that the funding plus the extras never exceeds the amount that would be charged without funding. The funding is intended to cover basic childcare, therefore extra charges are made to cover food, consumable materials and extra-curricular activities. For younger children accessing the funding, there is an administration charge to cover the costs of funding application.
