Environmental and large scale art

Our artist, Shelley Simpson, and our other staff, work with small groups of children to create large, experimental creative pieces. The creative process is great fun- squishing, flicking, squirting and rolling!

Shelley often uses natural materials and has developed a large selection of interesting resources to inspire the children.

Our focus is on introducing children to a wide range of media and encouraging their individual creativity, rather than every child completing specific adult led tasks. This approach is reflected in the individual creative pieces displayed around the nursery.
